In partnership with the Rice Engineering Alumni (REA),  Blade hosted Caroline Courbois and Damian Gonzalez for a 10-week internship in our Frisco offices this summer.  The internship is part of a new initiative by the DEI task force of  REA to provide engineering students with meaningful Summer Engineering Experience (SEE).

After three weeks of intensive training, Caroline and Damian began work on their summer project. Their work addressed a wide range of questions in Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS), including LCOE of capture installation, stoichiometry of CO2 containing gases, volumetrics of injection and storage, well architecture, CO2 credits markets, and transportation. Their work also looked at a few case studies of CCUS.

Here they are, presenting the results of their work to Blade engineers.
