Supervision and control of underbalanced drilling (UBD) requires specialized knowledge and competencies beyond conventional drilling experience. This unique course gives participants an opportunity to understand underbalanced well behavior through studying case histories and working with UBitTS, a computer-based interactive training simulator designed specifically for underbalanced operations.

What You Will Learn
The course complements our foundational Underbalanced Well Design course and adds to your understanding of underbalanced well behavior. Its aim is to help rigsite decision-makers, effectively communicate and make critical decisions based on a thorough understanding of the UBD dynamics. Knowledge gained will improve the UBD service/rig interface, enhance communications and team collaboration, and improve operational performance and safety.

This course was developed according to IADC's Wellcap training specification and is accredited by IADC to provide participants with UBD well control training certification.
