Project Framework
Experience has proven that planning, implementing and sustaining a high-quality underbalanced drilling project requires effective management and provision of the right resources through each phase of the project. Blade’s underbalanced drilling Project Management framework provides an excellent structure for planning and implementing an underbalanced drilling project, and optimally utilizing and managing project resources. The framework contains a concise list of (document) deliverables, and provides structure to the underbalanced drilling Project Plan. All disciplines and activities are involved, including Reservoir Engineering, Underbalanced Drilling Engineering, Drilling, and Production Engineering. Special attention is given to the management of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and is usually addressed in the detailed engineering phase. Current HSE data indicates that HSE is effectively managed during UBD operations and compares very favorably with conventional drilling operations.
After delivering an on-time and on-budget project, a well documented legacy of the project is produced, including; Screening, Concept Selection (Basis of Design), Detailed Design (P&IDs etc.), Implementation (well reports etc.) and culminating in the evaluation of results.
