An article entitled "Underbalanced drilling helps PDO find gas in tight reservoir after 11 unsuccessful wells" is featured in the November-December edition of IADC's Drilling Contractor Magazine.
In the article John and his co-authors describe the challenges and ultimate success when using underbalanced drilling techniques to prove the mobility of hydrocarbons in deep high pressure tight gas exploration wells. The article is based upon SPE/IADC 130320 that was presented at the 2010 SPE/IADC Managed Pressure Drilling and Underbalanced Operations Conference and Exhibition that was held in Kuala Lumpu, Malaysia 24 - 25 February 2010.
