Bill Whitney

Bill has 25 years of professional experience in petroleum engineering in a variety of different technical and supervisory roles. He has supervised rig site operations and provided drilling engineering support for various projects such as exploration and development wells in the Gulf of Mexico (shelf and deepwater), Mobile Bay, HPHT wells in the North Sea and South Texas, and a remote heli-lift operation in Peru. He has also worked in several technical support functions which involved providing support on well planning and operational issues for U.S. and international operations, technical training, and QA/QC support for OCTG and connections issues. Bill has a solid background in critical well engineering, deepwater drilling, and project management. Educational credits include a B.S. in Ocean Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology, and a M.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Tulane University.

Gary Ring

Gary has over 30 years of industry experience. He has broad experience in mechanical engineering, business management, project management for research and construction projects. He has been involved with manufacturing QA/QC, material science research, economic analysis and strategic business planning. Gary holds an MBA from the University of Dallas, and a B.S. Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Gary has authored numerous archival papers and holds two patents.

Stan Mason

Stan graduated from the University of the Pacific in 1981 with a BSCE. He has over 25 years experience in all aspects of high pressure, high temperature well construction with a special emphasis on tubular design. Petroleum engineering and operations experience includes drilling, work-over and completions, both onshore and offshore in hot and cold climates, deepwater well engineering, HPHT and underbalanced drilling engineering and operations. While this time has been split evenly between domestic and overseas assignments, most of it has been in critical well design and operations. Stan spent the first 19 years of his career working for Mobil. After leaving Mobil, Stan returned to Saudi Arabia for three years where he led their Drilling Technology Support Unit before joining Blade Energy Partners in October of 2003. Stan continues to be involved in critical well designs and the management of upstream research and development projects.
